Objectives of the JAMB Accounts Syllabus
The objective of the Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination (UTME) in the Principles of Accounting program is to prepare applicants for the Board’s exam. It is designed to test their achievement of the course objectives, which are:

- Use the basic knowledge of and practical skills in Accounting;
