High Potential Scholarship at Maastricht University

Maastricht University (UM) High Potential Scholarship Program offers 25 full scholarships worth €30,000 (including tuition fee waiver and monthly stipend) per academic year to highly talented students from from outside the European Union (EU) have been admitted to a master’s program at UM.

Eligibility: All applicants must meet the following requirements:

You are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland or Suriname and meet the conditions for an entry visa and a residence permit in the Netherlands.
You have applied for admission to a full-time master’s program at Maastricht University for the academic year 2023/24.
You do not have dual citizenship of an EU/EEA country.
You meet the specific admission requirements of the UM master’s program you are enrolled in.
You have never participated in a higher education degree program in the Netherlands.
Students who have completed exchange programs in the Netherlands are welcome to apply.
You are not more than 35 years old on September 1, 2023.
If there is more than one equally qualified candidate, UM will give preference to those with a transcript or letter of academic excellence demonstrating that they are among the top 5% of applicants for the program scholarships 2023/2024.

Step 1: Apply for one of the participating master’s programs at UM
For more details on how to apply for a master’s program at UM, please visit your prospective program’s website. Once you have submitted your application via Studielink, you will receive your UM student number. You will need a student number to fill out and submit a scholarship application (see Step 2 below).

Step 2: Please complete the application, you need to login with your UM account
Upload the following documents in .doc, .docx or PDF format and submit your application. Please note that you will only be able to submit your application once, so make sure all your documents and your referee’s contact details are up to date. If you have applied for more than one UM program of study, the UM Office of International Services will ensure that your complete scholarship application is considered for all eligible programs for which you have been approved or approved. conditional consent.
