In this post, I will be showing you the step-by-step way to apply for admission without making mistakes. If you did not choose LASUSTECH as your first choice of institution you are still eligible to be admitted into LASUSTECH provided you meet certain criteria, which will be revealed in this post.

A Brief Background History of LASUSTECH

Lagos State University of Science and Technology is one of the fast-rising universities in Nigeria. It was Lagos State Polytechnic before the Lagos State House of Assembly ratified a Bill that changed the institution from a polytechnic to a university. The university began operation in the 2022/2023 academic session starting with 33 courses.

What are the Requirements to Secure Admission into Lagos State University of Science and Technology?

Lagos State University of Science and Technology is open to all and sundry. Being a beacon bearer of academic excellence, the university expects that certain academic criteria must be met before any individual will be considered for admission into the university. To be eligible for admission, candidates must fulfill the following conditions:

• Candidates must have made LASUSTECH their first choice of institution during or after JAMB registration. In other words, if you did not choose LASUSTECH s your first choice of institution, it is permissible to do a change of institution.
• A candidate to be considered for admission must have a score of 180 and above in the just concluded UTME.
• Prospective students to be considered for admission must possess the required and relevant credit passes in his/her O’ level result. It must not be more than two sittings. Furthermore, such candidates can use either NECO or WAEC results.
• A candidate to be considered for admission into LASUSTECH must have turned 16 before the 1st of October, 2023.
• You can not use awaiting results during LASUSTECH admission screening exercise.
• Finally, await the screening result as all admission screening exercises will be strictly online.

Special Requirements for Admission Consideration

• All Direct Entry candidates aspiring for admission to Lagos State University of Science and Technology for the 2023/2024 Academic Session, should ensure they acquire a Direct Entry Form from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Furthermore, selecting Lagos State University of Science and Technology as their First Choice Institution is a prerequisite. Such candidates must then proceed to apply for the screening process.
• Only candidates originating from Lagos State will be eligible to participate in the Online Admission Screening Exercise for 100 level and Direct Entry. To qualify, candidates must have successfully substantiated their claims before the State of Origin Verification Committee (SOVC) established by the Lagos State University of Science and Technology. If you have declared Lagos State as your origin, your eligibility for admission will depend on the verification of your claim by the SOVC.

How to Apply for LASUSTECH Admission Screening 2023/2024

Step1: Visit LASUSTECH official website www.lasustech.edu.ng

Click on apply now on the pop-up and proceed to the next step. You will be redirected to www.admission.lasustech.edu.ng

Step 2: Click on Apply Now

Click on Apply Now to commence a new registration. If you are returning after completing the steps on this post, you need to click on Login

Step 3: See the Admission Screening Payment Page

You will be redirected to the following page. Please write in the English language. This page displays the amount you are to pay to proceed with your application.

Step 4: Enter your Registration Number to Start

Enter your JAMB registration number in the provided space on the official LASUSTECH website. See the image below. However, if you have any complaints, click on the text in blue indicated by Click Here.

Step 5: Enter your valid e-mail Address and Telephone Number

You will be redirected to a page where your JAMB details will be displayed after completing the previous steps. If you have not chosen LASUSTECH as your first choice of institution, you will not see your information. You will see an error message. This page displays your information with JAMB like your UTME score, your state of origin, your local government of origin, and your full name. Your total score is also displayed under the subjects’ score.

Step 6: Log in to Continue with your LASUSTECH Admission Screening Registration

After submitting your valid email address and telephone number, you must log in. You can locate the login link on the Candidate’s UTME details page. Nonetheless, you can log in here.

Step 7: Continue to Payment Gateway

After completing the previous step, the system will redirect you to a page displaying a summary of your necessary payment. Subsequently, you will need to pay a total of N2000 only. Keep in mind that the payment gateway will also apply specific charges that you need to consider.

Step 8: Fill in your Detail and Next of Kin’s

You will be required to provide the following:

• Your date of birth
• Name of next of kin
• Phone number of next of kin
• Address of next of kin
• Relationship with next of kin
• Upload a passport photograph that is not more than 22kb

When will LASUSTECH Admission Screening End?

The LASUSTECH admission screening will commence on Friday, August 18th, 2023, and conclude on September 3rd, 2023.

What is the Cut Off Mark for LASUSTECH Admission?

You must have scored a minimum of 180 in the recently conducted UTME for admission consideration.
