Introduction TETFUND TETFAIR

TETFAIR is a whole year program, sponsored by TETFUND. A unique opportunity for researchers and academics from Nigerian universities to turn their ideas into market-oriented solutions, including the development and production of prototypes. Selected research teams and academic staff, who have ideas for innovative solutions in one of our focus areas, will follow the path of combining technology and product development with business creation.

Conditions

You must be a team of 2-4 researchers/academic staff, from a university in Nigeria (the beneficiary institution registered with TETFund).
Your idea should be one of our focus areas. Your vice chancellor’s office will need to approve your appointment by signing a confirmation form.
Your team should include additional multidisciplinary skills to be able to take an idea (with our help and advice) from an idea, through prototype development and production, into a product market-oriented products.
A member has an idea for a creative solution and has relevant knowledge and skills.
A member with additional relevant skills (engineering/science/mechanical/medical/engineering, depending on your area of interest).
A member with financial/commercial/business skills or orientation.
Your innovation must be in the concept stage or in the early development stage.
Ideally, your invention should include a physical/physical element (not just digital elements).

The 12-month journey takes place in person and online and includes:

Hands-on training, tailored mentoring, integration of tools for entrepreneurial and innovative thinking and behavior, development of business models, along with product and technology development methodologies, methodologies cutting-edge design and familiarity with the world of patents and the economic aspects of entrepreneurship.
Visit the INNOV8 HUB in Abuja – a state-of-the-art manufacturing and innovation hub designated for prototype development with the support of professional experts.
An all-expenses-paid training course in Abuja will include flights, accommodation, food and travel expenses.
Opportunity to showcase innovations to relevant potential design partners/strategic partners/investors (domestic and foreign).
The trip was designed and facilitated in collaboration with international experts from the renowned Zell Entrepreneurship Program.
The technology development journey will include full support from experts in collaboration with Makelab.
The program will also include collaboration with the renowned Technion.
