LASU Releases 2025/2026 Indigeneship Verification Exercise Details

Lagos State University (LASU) has announced the commencement of the 2025/2026 Indigeneship Verification Exercise for candidates of Lagos State origin. This exercise is mandatory for all eligible candidates seeking admission into the university. Below are the key details you need to know.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have chosen LASU as their first choice in the 2025 UTME.
- Only those who scored 195 and above in the 2025 UTME are eligible.
- Applicants must be indigenes of Lagos State and provide proof of origin.
Registration Timeline
The registration portal will open on Monday, 26th May 2025, and close on Thursday, 19th June 2025. Candidates are advised to complete their registration within this period to avoid disqualification.
Verification Interview Schedule
The screening exercise will be conducted in four phases:
- Phase 1: 26th – 29th May 2025
- Phase 2: 2nd – 5th June 2025
- Phase 3: 9th – 12th June 2025
- Phase 4: 16th – 19th June 2025
Verification Venues
The interview will hold at designated centers based on the candidate’s division:
- Ikeja Division: Sociology Class, opposite University Health Centre
- Badagry Division: New TETFund Building, Faculty of Education
- Ikorodu Division: Law Clinic, Faculty of Law
- Lagos Division: International Business Class, MBA Building
Important Notes
- The Indigeneship Verification Exercise does not guarantee admission but is a prerequisite for consideration.
- Direct Entry candidates from Lagos State must also participate.
- Previous applicants (2023/2024 & 2024/2025) who were not admitted can revalidate their clearance certificates online.
- Beware of fraudsters—payments should only be made through the official LASU portal (lasu.edu.ng).
